Meet the Maker

Hi, I’m so glad you found my little apothecary.

I’m a wife, mother, and proud grandmother who’s always loved the simple, grounding things in life—gardening, baking, and creating a home that feels safe and nourishing. But my path into natural healing didn’t begin until about 15 years ago, after I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

Out of fear, I immediately began taking the medications my doctors prescribed, hoping to manage the symptoms. Over time, though, I noticed I often felt worse on the meds—and strangely better off of them. That experience led me down a different path, one rooted in curiosity, prayer, and determination to understand this disease in a more natural way.

I started reading—book after book, herb after herb—diving into research, and trying to piece together what might help me live better. That’s when I discovered the beauty and power of herbs, not just for MS, but for all the little aches, stressors, and daily needs of a real family.

I haven’t studied with herbalists or followed a perfect nutrition plan—believe me, I fail often. But I’ve spent years learning, taking online classes, experimenting, and most of all, trying. Every recipe I make is tested on me first (I’m always the guinea pig!), then usually my husband, kids, and extended family. Only when something really works does it earn a name, a label, and a place in the apothecary.

As for the MS? Maybe I’m just lucky, but it’s been gentle with me lately. I try to keep inflammation down, use natural products, and lean heavily on herbs like rosemary—one of my absolute favorites for brain health.

Little House in the Woods Apothecary is born out of that journey. Everything I make is done with love, humility, and a desire to share what’s helped us in small but meaningful ways. I’m still learning, always growing, and so grateful to be on this path.

I hope you’ll give our products a try—you’re always welcome here.

With warmth,
Wendy
