Pain Salve
Why is it different? It's not just a menthol rub to soothe sore muscles, it contains several herbs that all have healing properties. Comfrey, willow bark, astragalus root, and about eight other herbs that have anti-inflammatory, pain, or wound-healing properties are infused castor oil. Castor oil is used for its ability to penetrate deep into skin tissues and it also has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial effects.
But let's back up a little bit. 10 years ago, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. After the initial shock and scariness wore off (and my speech came back), I dove into learning mode. I am now off all DMDs (disease-modifying drugs) and attempting to control my MS naturally with supplements. I still have issues, but most are controlled. The one thing that breaks me is neuropathy in my feet.
As I was learning how to prepare cleavers (yes, the weeds—whole other post, lol), I came across a pain salve recipe and decided to try it. I added a few things I thought would be helpful, and BOOM! my Pain Salve was born.
There is no smell, no tingling, and no menthol like in most muscle rubs. It has a slight earthy scent from the dried herbs in it. I really did not have much faith that it would do anything. I could hardly believe it, but the first time I tried it relief came not 20 minutes later. I really don't know how to explain it - other than it works! Now I keep it near, and at the first sign of sharp burning pain, on it goes!! I'm not saying I have cured my neuropathy, but I did find something that stops my pain quickly!!
Since I began my business I have had customers use it for arthritis, plantar fasciitis, knee, back, shoulder, and hip pain! Old injuries, simple muscle spasms, and everything in between. I am really proud of this salve and how it's helping so many people!
